Although forever unknown
I wouldn’t be all that surprised
if the guy who invented chess
had a horse with ADHD
who was very easily distracted
& would make really abrupt ninety degree turns
every third step or so.

The Impasse
“No, Officer
I don’t have a handicap placard per say,
but I did get these jeans at a discount for being irregular,
and they fit perfectly,
So… I’m not paying this ticket.”
Awesome as always. And since you’ve got me thinking about it, I’m beginning to suspect that bishops were drunk and stumbling winos who couldn’t walk in straight lines.
Ha! Best yet.
Is it not ironic that the queen is the “master piece” she does whatever the hell she wants while the pussy king sits and hides.
A horse with ADHD is a hilarious thought – and you’ve made it fit the moves in a game of chess so well. I love the second poem. I might use that excuse myself sometime.
I have two ADHD children and I think you’re right!
You’re a deep thinker! 😀 And thanks for stopping by blog and liking my post! I’m following yours now. 🙂
wow my mind has not been so well twisted in many years and with out much more powerful drugs…Hugs
I haven’t played chess in a while (many years to be exact), but some interesting things happened in the last few days that got me thinking how much life CAN BE like a game of chess: strategic moves will definitely help you play well but won’t necessarily make you win the game. Funny reading your post and seeing it too has touched on the topic of chess! I find your thought process hilariously refreshing and look forward to each one with eager anticipation. Thanks for sharing …
That makes pawns boss-eyed, megalomaniacal cannon-fodder…
thank you for liking my posts, i’m glad you enjoy my stuff
Love this.
Perhaps out of the corner of his eye he sees demented clerics galloping toward him and seemingly stationary objects (such as castles) slide back and forth with astonishing speed.
And he has mommy issues.
Good luck with that ticket!
That is the best line for refusing a ticket. Well done.
I haven’t had this much fun since I discovered Shel Silverstein many years ago and Ogden Nash even further back. When I read your work, I immediately start looking for someone to share it with.
Thank you so much for your kindness
Love your wit.
I like the way you think. Do you play much chess? Thanks also for liking my last post.
Wow! I love your work.
Lol the horse! Thanks a bunch for checking out my blog and liking it too man. I really appreciate it.
Bwahahahaha, the Impasse is hilarious!! That should be made into a haiku

When I get pulled over I casually open the glove box and show the officer a gravy boat. No ticket = spoonful of gravy
