I’ve always wanted to open
a Buddhist themed strip club
where all the dancers,
in the traditional Buddhist fashion,
have let go of all Earthly desires
such as the desire for dignity, a stable career,
or ever getting that, “atta boy” from Dad.
Also, they’re men.
And nobody needs to tuck in any bills into the G-strings! Perfect!
This is great. I just recently discovered your blog not long ago and I’m loving your sense of humor.
Thank you so much. How kind of you to say!
🙂 Two Likes! Very funny.
Great idea! If we build it they will come.
Lol. Brilliant.
You never stop surprising me with your brief yet shocking incline. I love this. Go for it!
you just pierced my heart.
Now that would be my kind of place, if you need a door man, or someone to mop up the sweat, I’m all yours
Great piece!
Just be sure not to show their namastes. Those things are dirty. 🙂
I don’t know, naked men without any earthly desires would be kind of a waste.
Loved this. Laughing here 🙂
Is it bad I’m laughing? Great work!
Your mind is so twisted! L love it!!!
Great Words…
loved the last line! 🙂
I have been reading your blog for a while now and I love it. I think you are absolutely amazing.
Thanks so much! You’re pretty great too.
🙂
fuck yes!! i love your style!
That’s different.
Hi Eric, forgive me but I nominated you to be a part of this poem challenge. I will totally understand if you don’t want to do it though. Cheers!

Thanks so much Sheen, but I think you have drastically overestimated my output potential.
I like how you built the whole thing up on the premise that we would assume females to play the roles of dancers in a strip club, even though dancer is a gender neutral term.
This is brilliant! You are brilliant!
I have so much to learn from your writings (not in a go and make this strip club in the real world sort of way, though).

Ah…the harsh truth enveloped in humour. Perfect.
Best

I like to think I’d give my dancer son an “atta boy” just as readily as I’d give one to a dancer daughter.
Wow! I LOVE THIS! Such a great mind & great thoughts! Have a beautiful day!
I think I would enjoy being in your dream…
Just when I thought I’ve exhausted all career opportunities…
I have never been to a strip club, but I think I would visit this one. 😉
HAHAHA! You are a trip! Light and Love, Shona
LOL! This is a hilarious image that is now etched in my brain. I use humor as therapy for my anxiety and depression – it works so well.
We all need to peel away the materiality of existence, to expose our pure, untainted passion for living in the moment. 😉
I am googling a Buddhist strip club right now but have my doubts in Texas…:)
It’s called ‘The Looking Glass’ 😉
You have such a delightful blog with seemingly serious posts with amusing plot twists 🙂
lol!!
Hey, I happened onto something here, I think its a breath of fresh air! Thank you!
Your ” A Narcissist Writes Letters, To Himself
A Hopefully Formerly Depressed Human Vows To Practice Self-Approva” really hits home today!
I love your cute and hilarious posts! Keep writing 🙂
